Some help would be much appreciated…
Artist Oiseau lives and works in a rural setting in the Kootenay mountains of British Columbia. Starting as primarily a watercolourist (albeit an unconventional one), she switched to oils a decade ago and hasn’t looked back. Her current major focus is the portrait/figure. A strong understanding of colour, light and form is perhaps the most durable aspect of her work, across different mediums and genres. There is also often a bit of a tongue-in-cheek attitude!
Oiseau received her initial training at the Victoria College of Art in the early 2000s and has avidly continued to learn from teachers near and far. As a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA status) she sends work regularly to the Federation gallery in Vancouver.
