Here is a painting that gives me a little rush of hope and happiness each time I catch a glimpse of it. It’s one of those projects that has multiple starting points, as a number of separate impulses come to find a new home together. So, a bird I had photographed in the Burgundy countryside seemed to want to be included, and it found a fresh voice here with the children, as an agent of transformation.
